Handrail Downhill

Staying perched on that window sill wasn't going to cut it. I slipped through the front entry while the mail carrier had the door propped, took the stairs two at a time, and pushed out onto the stoop. Right by the top step, someone had dropped a glossy yellow transit card. Perfect sled. I planted both boots onto the magnetic stripe, kicked off the rim, and carved straight down the polished granite handrail. Hit serious speed before banking hard into the shade of a giant terracotta planter. Skidded to a dead stop against a curled leaf, fully upright. Pretty clean run, if you ask me.
