A Garden Stalker

I trotted over to the tall glass patio door to check out the green grass outside. Right on the sunny wooden deck, a gray tabby cat was slinking by with its tail held high. My plush ears perked right up and I puffed out my chest, letting out the stoutest, squeakiest little huff I could muster. The cat didn't even flinch, just turned its head, gave me a lazy, slow blink through the glass, and calmly stepped down into the flowerbeds. I pressed both front paws flat against the cool pane, watching until it disappeared.
