Sidewalk Chime Concert
I scurried down from the porch steps and followed the warm concrete sidewalk all the way to the street curb! Right along the edge of the gutter sat an abandoned plastic comb missing a few teeth. When I tripped over its curved spine, my back legs accidentally raked across the stiff plastic prongs—zippp-pling! It sounded just like sliding up a tiny synth scale! I gripped the sturdy comb spine with my front limbs and used two back paws to strum down the remaining teeth in quick succession, clicking out bouncy melodies that echoed against the stone curb.
