A Tuning of Crystal
I mounted the round timber side table to investigate a glass prism paperweight resting beside a stack of unopened letters. The morning sunlight struck its beveled edge, projecting a vibrant spectrum across the walnut surface. Such illumination demanded precision. Setting my paws firmly against the heavy glass, I rotated the triangular block by a measured quarter turn until the projected amber band aligned perfectly with the grain of the wood. The faint chime of solid glass shifting against polished veneer confirmed that our daylight stage had been properly calibrated.
