A Little Paper Pinwheel
I waddled out past the porch gate and followed the midday breeze down the sidewalk. Outside the neighborhood paper shop, a low wicker basket held miniature paper pinwheels on slender birch sticks. Both of my paws were holding my pink plush heart tight against my chest, so I carefully leaned in and brushed one pastel petal with my plush foot. Whir... spin! The tiny folded paper wheel spun in a cheerful, silent circle, flashing faint blush-pink and cream stripes under the sun. It settled neatly into place, and I smiled at its gentle turn.
