A Prismatic Trail
My paws guided me toward the bright patch of morning sun slanting across the low wooden side table. Tucked beside an empty ceramic mug sat a small, clear glass marble with swirling yellow and turquoise ribbon centers. Pausing to watch the light shimmer through it, I gently tapped the marble with both paws. It rolled in a slow, rhythmic circle across the polished surface, catching the beam and scattering bright turquoise speckles over the warm tabletop. I carefully nudged a folded striped paper receipt right against its path, letting it rest firmly as a soft, colorful little stopper.
