Pit Stop Rescue
Spotted movement by the garden border! A shiny black beetle was flipped flat on its back on the warm patio stone, six tiny legs pedaling frantically at empty air. Total wipeout! No time to deliberate. I dashed across the gravel edge, scooped up a stiff fallen pine needle from the mulch, and wedged the tip right under its shell rim. Gripped tight with both hands, planted my boots, and levered back with all my weight. Click-flip! It righted itself in an instant, antennae twitching like little radar dishes. Track cleared, racer back on course!
