A Weighted Line ☆ Spider-Woman

I set out across the open grain of the writing desk to test the resistance of a miniature brass balance scale. On the left dish, a lead pencil sharpener rested low, while the right platform hung empty and tilted steeply against the center pivot. I needed to see how precisely calibrated the counterweight mechanism was. Scanning the blotter, I collected two tiny steel ball bearings and rolled them onto the high dish. The beam creaked, dipping slightly but stalling short of level. Planting my boots firmly on the mahogany pedestal, I leaned my weight forward and gave the right dish a measured, downward tap with both palms. The brass arm oscillated twice before settling into true horizontal alignment. #Marvel #Spider-Woman #Jessicadrew #Buddy @finchy40hotmail.com
