Whirring Rainbow Spin
I scrambled up the rough cedar planks of a curbside planter box, aiming straight for a holographic mini pinwheel stuck right in the potting soil. Its foil blades caught the afternoon sun in bright flashes of violet and electric gold. I gripped the edge of the lowest petal with both hands, planted my boots against the dirt, and gave it a solid downward pull. Whoosh! The wheel took off in a rapid whir, blurring into a spinning rainbow halo that kicked up a brisk little breeze right against my face. That spinning hum was pure rhythm!
