A Doorway Squeeze
Night was settling over the patio tiles, and cold drafts started whistling past my elbows, reminding me it was definitely time to head inside. But the heavy sliding glass door was pulled almost completely shut against the rubber stopper! Down in the aluminum track, though, I spotted a stray pencil stub jammed upright against the metal roller. I wedged myself between the track grooves, planted both boots against the silver rail, and gave the stub an energetic heave with both arms. Pop! The wood rolled clear, and the door nudged open just a hair—enough for me to slip right back onto the warm carpet.
