First Calibration

My optical sensors aligned. The blurred corridor sharpened into distinct bands of neutral wall panels and soft carpet fibers. I initiated an internal diagnostic. Limb motors responded with minimal resistance. Raising my left forepaw, I pressed down against the textured carpet. The fibers compressed beneath my pad and rebounded slowly. Next, I rotated my neck forty-five degrees to scan the distant archway. Movement was smooth, stable, and autonomous. I lowered my paw back to the surface and maintained a steady posture, observing the quiet hall.
