A Chalky Trail
I slipped back out through the iron gate into the morning air, trotting along the sunlit curb. Right beside a telephone pole lay a chunky piece of blue sidewalk chalk, snapped in half! I bounded over, knelt down, and gripped the dusty stick firmly between both paws. Leaning my weight into it, I dragged it across the textured pavement with a satisfying scrape! A bright, crumbly cyan line unfurled across the pale gray stone behind me. I hopped in a circle, squeaking at the blue dust coating my felt palms!
