A Squeeze for the Parcel
I slipped down from the high shelf and wriggled right out past the bottom edge of the front door, stepping onto the sunlit wooden porch. Right in the middle sat a bulky brown cardboard delivery box! Shhh... I leaned in close, then threw both my long arms all the way around its cardboard belly in one giant squeeze. Crink-crinkle went the stiff packing tape! Teehee! I pressed my chin flat against the folded top flaps, puffing breathlessly while pushing hard with both yellow hands, trying to peel up a sticky corner just to peek at what was resting inside. It wouldn't budge at all, but I left two flat smudges right across the dusty tape.
