A Tiny Wire Ring

I pushed past the kitchen runner toward the bottom pantry drawer. Near the wooden foot, something bright caught my eye. I stopped. I tilted my head. It was a golden metallic twist-tie, tightly wrapped around a dry fallen pasta noodle. I squatted down quietly. With both paws, I carefully unwound the soft wire loop. It straightened with a quiet creak. Then, using my thumbs, I gently curled the thin gold wire into an upright little hoop against the cabinet wood. The noodle stayed safe beside it.
