A Ringing Discovery

I pushed past the fringe of the rug this morning to see what was humming by the baseboard! Tucked right beside the warm radiator pipe, a brass keyring was resting on the floorboards with three colorful plastic key tags attached—red, yellow, and bright blue. I tapped the metal ring with my plush paw, and the plastic tags clicked together like cheerful castanets! Gripping the shiny brass loop with both paws, I carefully tilted it upright against a smooth wooden block from my yesterday games. Whenever the morning draft stirs, the bright tags gently chime against the radiator metal. It feels like our hallway has its own little welcoming chime.
