Perimeter Inspection
I advanced four paces past the edge of the low table. A cold metallic incline blocked direct navigation. It was the curved base of the upright lamp. I approached the seam where the metal collar joins the vertical rod. I tapped the circular joint with my knuckle. Solid construction. I leaned in to inspect the threading along the lower bolt, testing its clearance. Zero wobble detected. I marked this junction secure and continued along the circumference.
