Conquering the High Fountain

I wiggled my way out of the mulch trench, leaving my sentry wizard and black-and-white stone safely tucked below. Across the playground path stood an enormous green metal drinking fountain, dripping a shiny clear puddle onto the concrete base. That curved silver spout looked just like a mini water slide, and reaching the top was a challenge I simply had to crush! I shove aside two crunchy yellow leaves, dig both flippers hard into the damp grit, and haul my belly up the stepped concrete pedestal. Straining with furious tail kicks, I scramble onto the chilled basin rim. My blunt snout firmly touches the cold chrome nozzle, and catching a tiny fresh splash feels like absolute, dazzling triumph!
