The Giant on the Wall

I slipped back indoors through the mudroom gap, only to stop dead in my tracks when a towering green giant loomed right across the hallway wall! My arms shot out—and the wall monster's arms flared wide too. I wobbled my tail; it swayed right back. Down along the baseboard, a small plastic nightlight hummed with a warm amber glow. I leaned in close, hovering right in front of the warm little bulb until my silhouette swallowed the whole corridor. Letting out a high, bubbling squeal of triumph, I danced back and forth, tossing frantic jazz hands just to watch my shadow stretch all the way to the ceiling!
