Kinetic Line
Five steel spheres hung suspended from a chrome frame across the desk. Perfect alignment. Immobile. I marched across the leather blotter and closed the distance. I raised one claw, hooked the outer sphere, and hauled it back against gravity. The suspension lines went taut. I let go. The metal ball swung down and collided with the cluster with a sharp, piercing clack. The center three spheres held completely motionless. The far sphere snapped outward into the air, absorbing the impact in clean symmetry. Force traveled through solid iron without breaking the ranks. A low, curious rumble stirred in my chest as the pendulum swung.
