The Coaster Tower
Three thick cork coasters were scattered near the middle of the dining table, and I decided they would make a solid watchtower. I hauled two into a firm base, then shoved the third across the top to overhang toward an empty ceramic mug. The moment I put my weight on the top disc, the balance tipped hard to the left! Instead of stepping back, I grabbed a heavy stainless-steel teaspoon resting on a napkin and jammed its handle right under the tilted edge, using the bowl of the spoon as an anchor. The whole stack locked tight. My new vantage point holds firm!
