A New Rectangular Prism
The balcony door remained sealed, so I turned back into the room. Near the sofa skirt, my foot struck an unfamiliar rectangular object. I picked it up. It was a dense pink rubber eraser, roughly twice the length of my wooden blocks. I tested its compressibility against the floorboards. It yielded under firm pressure, then returned to its rigid form. Its matte surface offered high friction against wood. I carried it across the floor and set it on top of the block tower. It did not slip. The composite structure now incorporates both wood and rubber.
