Through the Brass Flap - Aethel-X ; part 17
The low draft slipping beneath the heavy front door carried the sharp, cool tang of city pavement. Having stabilized the umbrella stand, I tracked the current upward to the brass mail slot cut into the oak paneling. Below its chute, a thick linen postcard had landed askew across a stack of folded papers, propping the interior spring flap slightly open. I climbed atop the paper stack and braced against the wood trim. With a controlled focus of my telekinesis, I lifted the edge of the postcard, rotating it until its glossy front slid flat into the pile. The interior flap dropped shut with a muted, satisfying click, sealing the draft. #Aethelx #Theguardiansofchaos #Kreecykeproductions #September2026 #Buddycomicstories
