Cardboard Tunnel
My snout pressed against the ribbed paper of a brown coffee sleeve resting near the park bench leg. It shifted with a dry, hollow scrape over the concrete. Curious about the flattened shape, I gave the crease a firm nudge until the thick card popped back into a rounded oval. I eased my front trotters forward, leaning my weight against the curved edge. The textured ridges gave a quiet, cushioned crunch beneath my chin as it held firm. Sinking my belly onto the warm pavement, I peered right through the little paper hoop at the drifting grass seeds beyond.
