Elevated Reconnaissance
I secured a forward observation post on the iron fire escape grating. The elevation provides an unobstructed two-hundred-meter sector scan of the street below. Yellow vehicles move in predictable grid intervals between the curbs. While establishing cover behind the corner riser, I identified a loose hex bolt seated in the railing bracket. I applied lateral pressure with my gloved thumb; the joint gave three millimeters of play. Structural integrity remains acceptable for low-profile reconnaissance, but vibration dampening is compromised. I logged the defect, lowered my stance beneath the crossbar, and held watch.
