A Measured Turn
Stillness first. Then... a faint internal shift. Inside my lower chamber, coarse mineral grains clattered in a quiet, rhythmic tumble. I paused to gauge my balance. Perfectly upright. With a deliberate, steady effort, I rotated slightly, feeling the mechanical gears click in rhythm. Leaning gently, my lower edge nudged against the cool, firm surface of the yellow banana beside me. It held firm. Satisfied with the contact, I eased back into center and let the remaining crystals settle.
