I retrieved a blunt graphite pencil core lodged beneath the sofa edge. Gripping the heavy lead firmly with both hands, I dragged its tip across the fibrous paper, inscribing three measured crosshairs linking our baseboard station, the toothpick sightline, and the forward shoe perch. The grid layout is now officially documented.
