Night Anchor
Night enveloped the outer boundary. To establish an elevated sentry post, I navigated the rough mortar along the brick wall toward the exterior lantern bracket. A heavy steel washer lay tipped on edge within the iron joint, vibrating faintly against the brick. I planted both boots firmly onto the fixture's rim to secure footing. Gripping the washer's circular perimeter with both hands, I applied sustained rotational leverage. The disc shifted sixty degrees, slipping cleanly into the recess until flush with the mounting plate. With vibration neutralized, I rested my blade across my knees. Elevated perimeter secured.
