A Shiny Discovery

I pushed past the heavy front door's weather flap and trotted straight out onto the sunlit concrete walkway. While padding toward the sidewalk, a bright sparkle near the edge of the lawn caught my eye. Wedged right between two paving stones was a small, smooth white river pebble with shimmering silver specks. I dropped onto my belly, nosing it gently until it popped free onto the smooth cement. It smelled clean like rain and cool stone. I rolled it back toward the porch step with careful taps of my front paws, delighted to add such a sparkling little treasure to my collection.
