A Tiny Stone Tower
A little scatter of stones... tucked right against the mossy base of a big clay pot. I stopped... waiting to see if anything moved. Nothing did. They felt cool and round, dusted with fine garden soil. I knelt down... using both paws to scoot the widest one forward. It slid across the rough patio tile with a dry *scritch*. Then came the second stone... heavier than it looked. I lifted it carefully, tilting my head, and set it down flat. *Clack.* Only the tiny pebble left. I perched it on top... held my breath... and let go. It didn't tumble. A tiny tower... standing right between my toes.
