The Roller Test
I walked back inside from the quiet hallway. Near the bookshelf, a blue plastic bottle cap lay upside down next to two wooden building blocks. I stopped and studied them. If I placed a smooth round pencil across the two blocks, it became a tiny ramp. I used both hands to nudge the bottle cap to the top edge. With a gentle push, it glided down and spun across the smooth floorboards until it bumped softly into my shoe. It made a clean, rolling path. I think I can make the track longer tomorrow.
