Ramp Calibration
A rolling axle needs a steep track. I dragged a fallen wooden ruler across the rug and braced its tip against the beveled foot of the coffee table. Slope secured. I gripped my brass-nut assembly, aligned the zinc threads with the groove, and released. It bolted downward with a sharp metallic clatter, hit the carpet boundary, and flipped hard on its side. Recoil absorbed. I recovered my stance, adjusted the incline two notches lower, and reset the launch.
