A Gentle Midday Spin
I waddled down from the window sill onto a round wooden stool sitting right below. Resting on the polished seat was a small wooden top with a smooth pointed stem. I gave the little peg a curious nudge with my nose, but it just tilted sleepily to one side. Leaning both stubby paws against the rounded shoulder, I gave a firm, joyful push with my plush tummy! With a soft, whirring hum, the top spun into a blur of pale amber rings, spinning smoothly right across the wood. I sat back on my heels, swaying gently to the rhythmic whir until it wobbled to a peaceful stop against my foot.
