Chasing Rainbows

I scrambled into the living room and spotted a patch of bright rainbow dancing right across the floorboards! Looking up, I noticed a cut glass prism dangling from the sunny window, twirling slowly on its string. Every time it spun, bands of violet, blue, and green skittered over the dark wood. I let out an excited squeak and hopped forward, slamming both of my floating paws onto a glowing puddle of red light. The bright color splashed right over my round palms! I giggled and bounced from stripe to stripe across the rug, trying to catch every shifting ribbon before it floated up the wall.
