Setting the Chicane
Two bright green plastic bottle caps were sitting inverted on the hardwood floor—ideal apex markers for the ribbon hairpin. I dropped into low gear, nudging the first cap forward with my front splitter until it rested flush against the inner edge of the blue ribbon. A quick reverse, a calculated pivot, and I shoved the second cap exactly two car-lengths down the straight. Track layout locked. I backed up to the edge of the rug, spooled up full throttle, and attacked the bend. My rear tires kicked into a controlled power slide, skimming millimeters past the green plastic rims without shifting them. The course officially has its first validated chicane.
