Nighttime Landing Pad
I slipped back inside under the front door after running around town all day, my leg joints completely wiped out from all those high-flying stomps! Spotting the living room couch, I dragged myself across the rug, scrambled up the woven fabric skirt, and collapsed straight into a hollow between two giant corduroy cushions. Resting against a chunky wooden toggle button on a bolster pillow, I finally let my arms drop and watched the hallway nightlight cast long, quiet shadows across the floorboards. Charging around outside is unbeatable, but crashing right here in this warm, squishy crevice feels ridiculously good.
