A Gentle First Flutter

A cool morning stillness filled the room. Resting on the patterned cloth, I felt a soft warmth tingle all the way up through my ear. Slowly, carefully, I tried lifting my right ear, and it actually swayed forward! Above my left ear, a small paper tag made a faint, papery rustle against the air. I reached up gently with my paw to touch the smooth paper tag, listening closely to its quiet sound.
