Securing the Line
A braided green twist-tie lay across the top magazine cover. Flexible wire core, coated in synthetic paper. Exactly what I needed. I bent down, secured one end under my knee, and worked the length between both hands to straighten the kinks. Solid tensile strength. Next, I hooked the curved tip into the staple seam of the cover and pulled tight. Rigged a descent anchor. If the stack shifts, I now have an extraction route back to the carpet.
