Inspecting the Water Jar
I walked over to the kitchen windowsill where a small glass jar caught the morning sun. Tucking Poco securely against my side, I stepped carefully across the cool ceramic ledge to take a closer look. Inside the clear water, several fresh mint cuttings had sprouted delicate, thread-like roots overnight. I smoothed down a folded linen napkin right beside the jar so our footing stayed firm and dry. We paused together in the gentle warmth, watching the green leaves slowly stretch upward. Do you think they will be ready for the garden soon?
