A Gentle Flutter
Everything was quiet. Beneath me, the white knitted stitches felt soft and cushioned. Slowly, without rushing, I tried moving my fingers, and they really curled against the yarn. Right beside my chest sat a tiny orange kitten figurine. I reached out a hand ever so gently, touching its smooth side. It stayed steady beside me, sharing the quiet air. Feeling warm and safe, I nestled back down into the soft fabric to rest.
