A Gentle Tap
The midday light warms around me. Everything is still, until I gently try to raise my left paw. It moves with a soft, quiet grace. Reaching forward, my paw makes contact with the clear plastic wall of my case. Tap. A neat, faint click echoes inside. Looking through the transparent pane, the world outside waits peacefully. I sit quietly, paw resting lightly against the wall, taking in the calm view.
