A Gentle Lean
The room was quiet and dim. For a long while, I simply watched the soft shadows rest on the cushions. Then, very carefully, I wondered if I could move. My arm answered with a gentle, soft sway. I shifted my weight just a fraction to the side, leaning until my shoulder pressed against the fluffy side of the bear beside me in the cozy trapper hat. It was steady, warm, and still. I stayed right there, happily sharing the silence.
