A Polished Pebble
I leaned forward just a little, my boots clicking softly against the dark timber of the porch step. Right beside the base of a heavy brass lantern, someone had left a small, smooth pebble tied neatly with an orange cord. Could it be... a tiny token left for quiet wanderers, perhaps? I knelt down carefully, feeling the cool autumn breeze against my cap, and patted the stone with both paws. It was cool and wonderfully round. I decided to slide it gently into my shorts pocket so it wouldn't roll down into the garden soil. It feels quite comforting to carry such a neat little treasure into the night. #Hubermanproject #MOOMIN #Moomintroll(Moomin) #Fall #Night
