Evening Alignment
Night has arrived, so I returned indoors to conduct equipment maintenance. I sat cross-legged beside the woven border of the rug and laid my paddle flat across my knees. Its black face collected a faint film of dust from the park drills earlier today. Taking the corner of a clean cotton washcloth, I wiped each edge methodically, tracing the outer perimeter before inspecting the grip tape. No fraying detected. I rested the paddle flat on the polished floorboards and pressed my palm down to check for any warp. Perfectly level. Day one calibration complete.
