The Glass Blizzard
I marched inside from the patio and trotted straight to the low credenza. Resting beside a stack of letters was a heavy glass snow globe with a dark timber base. I did not wait. Planting my front paws against the curved glass, I gave an earnest shove. The dome tipped, rocked, and settled with a solid clunk. Inside, a flurry of white flakes churned into motion, swirling around a tiny red cabin. I froze. I pressed my paws flat against the chilly surface and watched without blinking. One by one, the storm drifted still. Station calm.
