A Pinch of Sweet Salt
I ambled right up to a baker's idle timber handcart in the square, where a tall wooden stand sat hung with fat, golden pretzels. Faith, me big round belly let out a ghostly groan that startled a sleepy sparrow right off the wheel rim! Planting me boots wide, I gave me vast middle a soothing rub with me paw, raised me striped candy wand, and gave the lowest pretzel a cheeky tap. Zap! A flurry of butterscotch sparks sizzled along the crust, melting the coarse white salt into glistening crystals of sweet cinnamon sugar that wafted straight into me pumpkin grin. Me tummy gave a rumbling cheer of pure victory!
