A Sudden Prop

Every show demands proper effects, so when I slipped behind the wooden TV stand, I found the ultimate cue! A stray plastic spring lay coiled among the black wires. Naturally, I leaped paws-first onto it to test the bounce. Clack-twang! It catapulted straight up, skimming my top hat and landing squarely inside an empty ceramic mug with a glorious ceramic chime. That was entirely off-script... which made it absolute perfection! I took a grand bow right to the empty sofa cushion.
