A Gentle Adjustment

I was looking over the kitchen counter when I noticed a small glass herb jar on the windowsill that had shifted slightly off-center during the morning breeze. It sat a bit too close to the edge of the ceramic tile. I... I wanted to keep the sill orderly without knocking the thin glass against the window pane. Bracing my weight carefully on one hand against the wooden frame, I extended my foot with a light, measured front-snap tap against the base of the jar.
