Uncoiling the Spring
The braided rug was behind me, and I blasted straight through the back door out to the sunlit gravel strip! Pinned under a fallen brick was a thick steel tension spring from an old garden shears! Compressed flat and locked tight under dead weight! A trapped reservoir of pure kinetic force! I lunged forward without a split-second pause and jammed both hands under the cold iron coil! The brick pressed down hard with gritty friction, fighting back! No giving ground! I dropped my vortex base against the stones, escalated my torque, and wrenched upward with surging drive! Snap! The heavy red brick tipped over, releasing the steel spring in an explosive clatter across the pebbles!
