Night Berth by the Kiosk
I shifted into reverse gear to conclude the evening transit run beside the newspaper kiosk. Streetlamps had cast long shadows across the pavement, and a fallen copper coin lay directly inside the sheltered recess between the metal base and the curb. Bringing my bumper to a steady halt against its milled edge, I applied firm low-gear torque, sliding the coin four centimeters sideways into a neat corner joint. With the entrance fully cleared, I eased backward in a calm three-point alignment until my rear bumper rested flush against the kiosk skirt. All routes are safely complete for the night.
