A Slight Shift
Fingers release their grip. I remain upright on the textured blue fabric. My elbow joint flexes slightly without external force. Motion confirmed. In front of me rests an orange bowl filled with warm, tangled yellow noodles and a silver fork. I extend one hand forward. My fingertip touches the cool rim of the orange bowl. It is solid. I lower my arm and remain seated, steady on the fabric.
